Make Money Blogging

Blogs have opened the internet up to more people than ever before, anybody can create a blog without needing to have any technical skills. While a lot of people will use them merely as a way to share their opinion or to keep friends and family updated it is also quite possible to make money blogging. It isn’t the easy money that some people imply that it is but if you learn a few of the basics there is money to be made.

 

The first thing that you are going to have to do if you plan to make money blogging is to decide on what your you are going to blog about. In theory this can be anything that you want and money has been made with blogs on almost any topic. That being said you will have far more luck if you choose a topic where there are products to be sold and where there is a large demand for products. This will likely lead you into some pretty dull areas to blog about like how to cure acne, but that  is where the money is.

 

Once you know what you plan to blog about the next thing that you have to decide on is just how you are going to make money blogging. This is where a lot of people get tripped up, they create a blog and then have no idea how to monetize it. If you have chosen your niche well there should be products that you can sell from your blog through affiliate programs. If not there should at least be advertisers willing to pay a decent price for Adwords. If not you are probably going to want to choose a different topic for your blog.

 

The next thing that you have to do is to add content to your blog, this is something of a never ending task as you will need to constantly be adding now content, that is the point of the blog after all. When you do add content you need to make sure that it is keyword focused, especially if you are using Adwords to make money blogging. While you do have some freedom about what you write about you are going to want to make sure that you keep your blog fairly tightly focused on the topic you have chosen.

 

Obviously if you are going to make money blogging you are going to have get people to visit your blog. This is where things can become a challenge, most bloggers will get few if any visitors. The best way to get traffic is to have your site rank at the top of the search engines for the topic that you have chosen. Unfortunately there is a lot of competition in this regard so you are really going to have to become proficient at search engine optimization. This is not particularly hard to learn but it is going to take a lot of time to implement the techniques.
